Samples insertion

Upon receiving the samples at the laboratory, the operators open the thermal bags for transport and extract the secondary containers. Secondary containers are inserted into RPS-1.

1

Samples extraction

The containers are opened using special suction cups and the samples extracted.

2

LIS check-in

The extracted samples are scanned individually for check-in on the Laboratory Information System, checking that the time elapsed since collection is within the limits.

* Requires the use of Roboscan

3

Samples Handling

The centrifuged samples are controlled by an internal artificial intelligence unit to evaluate the correctness of the centrifuge process, notifying if a new centrifuge is needed. (A)

Even in the case of samples that have not yet been centrifuged, the system notifies and places the samples in the output channel. (B)

In case of emergencies, the system makes the samples immediately available to the technician via a dedicated output channel (C)

4

Samples sorting

The residual samples are sorted according to the laboratory’s preferred programming on customized racks already compatible with the analysis system present in the laboratory.

5

Cloud Database

All data is sent to the cloud for viewing on the ROBOSAN software platform and for sharing with RPS-1 devices.

6

RPS-1 features

One device, two interchangeable modules

Extraction Module

Dedicated to secondary containers opening, it it ensures a safe opening process.

Unboxing. Samples are extracted in group from secondary containers.

Handling Module

Dedicated to sample tracking and sorting, it ensures the accuracy and the efficiency of the process.

Programmable sorting. After the tracking phase, samples are sorted according to a programmable schedule on racks ready for analysis’ machines.
Tracking & monitoring. Samples are automatically checked-in on the Laboratory Information System, monitoring urgencies, checking time from sample collection, and checking eventual centrifugation issues.

Samples and containers insertion

After sampling, the samples are inserted into the machine’s input racks. At the same time, the secondary containers are loaded into the packaging area.

1

Containers opening and sanitization

The containers are opened using special suction cups and the samples extracted.

2

LIS check-in

Samples are taken individually and scanned by an internal image acquisition system.

Connection with the Laboratory Information System and, in the absence of an external ROBOSCAN, complete set of checks with artificial intelligence to guarantee the correctness of the sample preparation.

3

Samples Sorting

Samples are sorted according to preferred scheduling to optimize processes in the analysis laboratory.

4

Samples sanitization

The samples are sanitized thanks to a special sanitization system inside the device.

5

Samples grouping and containers closing

The samples are conveyed in groups, placed into secondary containers, and sealed automatically.

6

Check-out

The transport document is automatically created and the samples checked out. The containers are taken and placed in thermal bags for transport.

7

Cloud Database

All data is sent to the cloud for viewing on the ROBOSAN software platform and for sharing with RPS-1 devices.

RPS-1 features

One device, three interchangeable modules

Handling Module

Dedicated to sample tracking and sorting, it ensures the accuracy and the efficiency of the process.

Tracking & monitoring. Samples are selected from internal racks and tracked thanks to the internal check chamber.

Programmable sorting. After the tracking phase, samples are sorted according to a programmable schedule.

Sanitization Module

Dedicated to test tubes sanitization, it ensures safety against biological risk for both technicians and process.

Sample Sanitization. Thanks to a sanitizing liquid solution, the samples are sanitized to be completely risk-proof.

Packaging Module

Dedicated to samples packaging in secondary containers, it ensures safe packaging closing, without missing any sample.

Box sanitization. A preliminary UV-sanitization of containers before packaging.
Packaging & check-out. From the sanitization module, samples are packed in group with automatic check-out of Laboratory Information System.
